Rugby equipment
To complement one’s rugby equipment, compression gear is great
for taking care of one’s muscles during a brutal rugby training
session or matches. Equipment options are scare for rugby players. No
padding is allowed. A fabric head covering is allowed but it may not
have any padding. Shoulder pads can only be made of cloth.
A helmet is a part of rugby equipment that protects the head while
playing. Cuts, abrasions, and concussions can be avoided by wearing
the proper head gear. Accomplishing a tackle on an opposing player can
expose the head to serious injury so the rugby player should wear approved
head gear while playing.
Rugby equipment is not complete without the proper shoes. Cleats are
used to play rugby. They are like tennis shoes to some extent, however,
the soles of the shoes are studded with pointed projections to enable
a player to plant his or her foot firmly in the grass to gain valuable
traction. Cleats can injure other players so care must be taken while
wearing them.
