Rugby shorts
Rugby shorts must not have any dangerous projections on them. No buckles
or rings are allowed on the shorts. No hard or unyielding material can
be used in the making of the shorts. Any form of protective covering
can’t be attached by metal or plastic buckles even if they are
covered.
Rugby shorts come in a variety of colors to excite the fans. When each
team player comes on the field in the same uniform, the fans know who
their players are and which team they are on. Shorts usually are worn
with the hemline above the knees. The material must be soft and yielding.
There are very few rules regarding rugby shorts that can be worn during
the game. The main rules concerning shorts deal with the prohibition
of any shorts that contain any hard object that might endanger another
player. Therefore, no pair of rugby shorts may contain any buckles or
straps that can cut or bruise another player. Shorts are usually loose-fitting
and breathable.
